We are a Societie of cultivated Souls which have a profess'd Interest in the exploratioun of Musea, Arts, Musick and ev'ry other Source of Culture and Knowledge that quencheth the Mind's Thirst and feedeth the Spirit.
The Limits of the fair Citie of Amsterdam bound nought the Reach of our Curiosity: on many a Daye do we leave the Noise and Bustle of the Cosmopolis to become acquainted with the Jewels of Holland's other Cities and Towns. The goode Tiding for us is that suche Jewels do exceedingly abound in this Historie-rich Land!
