Swedish "Fika" and potluck

In Sweden, "fika" is considered the most important meal of the day. At 3 PM every day family or work colleagues gather and sits down with a cup of tea or coffee and indulge in cakes, biscuits or more healthy options such as sandwiches or fruit. Since I am soon leaving for Sweden, I would like to share this little bit of Swedish culture with you all!
My idea was that we meet at my place (I only have room for 8 people apart from myself - tiny apartment) and I offer tea and coffee and some Swedish treats, while you bring something small to share, maybe from your own country? If the weather is nice maybe we can head off for a picknick in Vondelpark (1 minute's walk away) instead.

Hey, unfortunately I can not join as I already made another appointment. But I love to come the next time and then hopefully we can go for a nice pic nic in the park in the sun. See you and have fun

Hi everybody! Since my apartment decidedly is made for only one person and the cutlery is provided accordingly, it would be a great help to me if you could chip in with cups and thermoses for tomorrow. I assume the weather is going to continue being uncharacteristically warm so am planning for a picnic - that means that you on the waiting list also can join! Only problem is if it starts raining and we need to go inside, but we'll sort that out if we have to. Also, things to sit on would come in handy! In short, bring what you think we might need, but definitely cups and thermoses! If you don't have time to bake or buy anything, please bring some cold drinks for us - we'll need it! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

    Hello hello to everybody.
I've a friend who came here to visit me and she'll be staying also Sunday. Since her time in the city is limited I'd like to spend the weekend with her, therefore I'd ask for the chance to bring her along to the potluck, or if not possible due to space constraints, consider me out of it so to free one space for someone in the waiting list.
    Thanks
    L.

I have a feeling more people are going to come than the RSVP-limit - I am hoping the weather is good so we can go to Vondelpark! If not bring your friend but warn her that there might only be cushoins on the floor to sit on!

If there are enough people in the waiting list, maybe we can organise a second potluck somewhere:-)

Actually, maybe whoever's in charge of the RSVP-limit (Rhiannon I suspect) could change it to 9 people? I have room for 8 apart from myself. If the persons on the waiting list would be prepared to sit on pillows, that is of course also a possibility...

What a lovely idea! I'd be happy to join you and maybe bring some home-made pizza. I only hope I'm not going to be scheduled for work. In case, I'll update my rsvp as soon as possible.
