Mingling and "How to create a company that uses emerging technology."

On the next episode of MoDev...

Please welcome the Co-Founder and CEO of Gumiyo, Shuki Lehavi, presenting his experiences and recommendations on how to build a successful company based on emerging technology. Preceded and followed by our signature mobile mingling of course!

Please note we are in a different location for this event, a location that has proper A/C and ventilation.

“Mobile, Social and the Cloud present us with the opportunity to create the “next big thing”. In this session, I will share my experience from building a company on emerging technology. We will discuss how to leverage technology, how to build the product and company, how to attract investors, and how to plan for the uncertainty of an emerging technology. “

Shuki Lehavi is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gumiyo, a platform for delivering the world’s information to every device. The Gumiyo platform powers over 27,000 mobile sites and apps, built and distributed by the leading publishers and technology providers globally. The company was founded in 2007, and offers cloud-hosted tools to build SMS programs, mobile sites and apps.

Mr. Lehavi is an avid technologist with over 15 years of successful experience in managing and developing enterprise applications in the banking, healthcare, automotive, and mobile industries. He enjoys working with founders and solving business, product and technology problems. When he is not working around the clock, he spends time with his wife and 3 kids, and gets bypassed every year at the LA Marathon by the group of Elvis impersonators.

I agree with the kudos for this meeting. Clearly knew from experience what he was doing to create jobs in this country. Malcolm

The speaker was fantastic! He was super informative and spoke in language that everyone understood. It was a great group and I met many people that I'll be connecting with again this week. **I'm looking forward to his next event @Google on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012.

I have attended over a dozen meetups in the past few months, and this is the first one where I actually learned something.
