A look at some of the new KitKat Apis.

Agenda:

6.30 - Hellos
6.35 - Android News
6.45 - KitKat - Show & Tell
8.00 - Pub!

Show & Tell:

ART vs Dalvik
The team at Shazam look at their new geo-charts Explore running on 2 nexus 5's (one Dalvik and one ART) running side by side and showing how much faster ART really is.

Transition Animation APIs
Blinkbox's Mark Allison (author of blog.stylingandroid.com) has been looking at the new transition animation APIs introduced in KitKat 4.4. He'll show some basic examples and explain some of the limitations of these interesting new additions to the Android animation toolkit.

** GET INVOLVED **
If any of you have played around with any of the new KitKat apis, come prepared with a quick 'Show & Tell' (a demo and snippit of code)

** Special Thanks to Shazam for sponsoring Beers & KitKats! **

do you presentation/materials of the older meetups?

Often it is difficult for people outside London to attend these meetups, even though we really want to. Is it possible if there are presentations, they are given over skype?
