It may not be as much of a security hole as a public knowledge hole (yup, I'm feeling cheeky ;-) )

Mark Murphy has a chapter on "Tapjacking" in his "The Busy Coder's Guide to Advanced Android Development"
http://commonsware.com/AdvAndroid

It covers detection and prevention including the seemingly simple solution of adding...

android:filterTouchesWhenObscured="true"

... to the layout XMLs.

Um, that's an extraordinary app and to my mind it exposes a giant OS security hole. It wouldn't be very hard to, say, adapt it to catch passwords etc by putting EditText overlays in the right places.

As for the APIs, honestly no idea.

Hi guys,

An implementation question here. This calc app (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.aircalc) floats in front of whatever else you have open. However with my limited knowledge of the API's, I don't know how this would be programmed!

How would you guys go about implementing something like this?

Thanks

Paul
