On my end, I mentionned:

Setting log level via adb:
adb shell setprop log.tag.MY_TAG VERBOSE

then in code:
if (Log.isLoggable("MY_TAG", Log,INFO) { Log.i("MY_TAG", ...); }

Enable full HTTP console logging - everything is logged but you could fine grain using the default options given by HTTPClient:

Enable AndroidHttpClient:
httpclient.enableCurlLogging("MyTag", Log.INFO);

and in adb: adb shell setprop log.tag.MyTag VERBOSE

This should yield the cURL command that you can then use in your shell.

./C

PS: If you get frustrated you could use Log.wtf to express that failure in code :)
