I've recently been making myself a little app that is specifically targeting the fancy new Heads-Up Display technology that certain goggle manufacturers (including Oakley, Scott, and others) are building into winter-sports goggles. More information on the hardware/technology here:http://reconinstruments.com/products/snow-heads-up-display
The MOD Live units run android, and there's even a full SDK available in order to access all of it's sensors etc, yay! So I went and bought myself some goggles and a MOD Live and I've started making an app which is simple, but useful, and I really think it could be helpful to most users. Recon are yet to open their app store for it, and I'm hoping to be one of the first in the store when it opens.
The functionality for my app is pretty much all finished, but it looks dog ugly. So I'm looking for someone that either has a bit of artistic flair for design, and/or is a master of building slick layouts for android. Ideally both, because I am truly awful at both.
I'm very (very) inexperienced in making android apps, and so if anyone would also like to volunteer to code review what I've done, and tear a deep and painful hole exposing all of the newbie mistakes I've made ... I'd appreciate that too :)
I was assuming this app to be free download, and as such, I'm really asking for someone to offer some free time to get their name on an app on a new and interesting platform. But if the person who offers to help out thinks we can make some money from it, and wants to split the proceeds, I'm open that too. Finally, I have applied to be a developer partner with Recon, and if accepted, one gets discounts on purchasing the hardware. Since I already have a unit, passing on that discount is something that I could potentially offer as a thank you.
So please just email me back if you're interested in helping out!
