Amnesty International & ThoughtWorks cordially invite you to join us at the inaugural Panic Button Open Jam!

Panic Button is a mobile alert system which enables human rights activists to trigger a rapid response from their network in an emergency.

We're looking for Android DevelopersFrontend DevelopersDevops folksUX'ersContent-people, Videographers, and Activists to donate a day to enable Amnesty to begin the app's pilot with activists in the field.
There will be lots happening across three different teams on the day:

  • An Android Team will work on completing 3 new features of the Panic Button app
  • A Website Team will work on getting a website up and running for controlled distribution of the app
  • A Training & Security Team will produce an introductory video and draft tips on secure use of the app for activists

Breakfast will be served from 8.30am and we will be kicking-off at 9am sharp. Lunch will be provided and drinks from 6pm.
