Re: [androidnyc] NYC iPhone/iPad Boot Camp - Three Day IOS 6 Certificate Intensive Workshop - November 16-18

(Disclosure: I am an ex-instructor for the IPBC, quit because I couldn't be associated with the way J Sarno does business)

Some of his instructors teach good classes, some not so much. The iPhone Boot Camp doesn't have a central training organization, but instead relies on whatever the local instructors are prepared to teach.  Sarno himself is just a hustler - he is not a developer, has no other iOS experience beyond organizing these classes.

Yes he is cheap, and yes he offers a money back guarantee (a new thing since I worked with him).  Nobody else explicitly offers a no-questions-asked refund policy because everyone else in the industry feels they need to explicitly offer one - instead they make their courses good enough that nobody asks for a refund.

He may not offer it now, but if he sees a profit in it, expect "The Android Bootcamp" to start spamming you soon...

The really frustrating thing is that I've heard this is actually a decent program. I've got some level of interest in learning iOS development, but I simply can't bring myself to even consider this program as an option because this guy spams literally every meetup mailing list I'm a member of. I can't support that behavior.

What's upsetting here is that This Sarno guy has been spamming the list and has never responded.  It seems, despite protests he hasn't been blocked.
This is the sign of a stale list since outside of him and bitching about his posts, I haven't received anything of interest here.

Has anyone else?  If not maybe it's time to unsubscribe.

Jonathan Sarno,

PLEASE STOP SPAMMING ANDROID MEETUPS WITH IPHONE BOOTCAMP SOLICITATIONS.

I did not sign up for your mailing list and don't give a shit about iOS.

Read the Blog Posting about the iPhone Boot Camp Experience

The opportunities for iPhone applications developers has never been better. Apple has paid out over 5 billion dollars to developers with App in the iPhone app store. iPhone developers' work-for-hire is the highest paid in the software industry.

The iPhone Boot Camps are arguably the most affordable and experienced iPhone application development workshops. Our rates are often half the price of other workshops and our trainers the most experienced in the field, with apps in the top ten in the iPhone store and/or authors of popular books on iPhone development. Since 2008 we have trained over 1,000 developers in over 60 small workshops.

Money Back Guarantee

We are the only iPhone workshop that offers a money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the workshop after the first day we offer a full refund, no questions asked. Keep in mind that any developers considering the workshop should have a basic knowledge of object oriented programming or the workshop will be extremely challenging.

Register now for the November 16-18 New York iPhone Boot Camp at the early bird and save !!!

Best,

iPhone/iPad IOS Boot Camp
