Hi everyone.

Once again, it's time for a nocturnal museum mystery.

Go to the museum website for more info as needed; Tickets, etc.

http://youtu.be/ZFOsmfN-BvU

I’m thinking it would be best for all if we met just outside the ticket counter from 19h00 to 19h30, in around 19h30, giving us 2 hours + or so to walk about. No rush. The place is open till 21h45. Museums at night are… well…. Mysterious. As you well know, museum time slows down a bit at night, so we’ll have more of it to wander around.

Dress: Black tie… kidding… sort of.   Ok, maybe this is another meetup. Anyway…. This is getting good. How about a drink and maybe some food after the visit? there are lots of spots around so we'll see when we get there.

Keep my mobile number close and contact me if you get lost… I’ll try to keep everyone around.

Hope to you there.

Peace.

Douglas.

    Hi,
Cafe de l'Empire, 17 rue du Bac has a small menu with decent food. It is stylishly decorated with dark wood, zinc bar, grey velvet and soft lighting. A glass of house wine is 2.90, which is very reasonable for this neighborhood. A few doors down is Les Antiquaires, 13 rue du Bac, another traditional bistrot with nice atmosphere.
SOS Help holds bi-annual used book sales, the last one was on March 23, next one in the fall. Just go on their website to find out. It is always held at the Orrick Law Offices, 31 avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie, 16eme.

You guys were great! Lots of excellent discussions and insights while looking at the various elements of the show. I really do love to hear what people see and talk about the works. It’s lovely to share with people like this.
Jo: could you send me information on the restaurant near the museum you were talking about? I will then plan on that place as our post-museum resto spot.
Well, yes… we are going back… soon. Cindy, Alex, and I went in for a quick look at the Van Gogh / Artaud show, which proved to be just too powerful to tuck into after Dorée. But I definitely think we need to go back and see it. Perhaps even a Gogh-Artaud discussion over a some drinks would be proper preparation for the bomb that will indeed go off in your head when you see this expo… A suivre…
Thanks again to all for a lovely evening.

Hello, I'm sorry, I was at the entrance between 7.15 and 7.40 but I've missed you. I forgot your telephone number at home, Douglas. See you next time I hope! All best!

Bugger. That's the same day I have tickets for Mapplethorpe at the Grand Palais. That's just too much art...
