It seems strange to be writing to you about Autumn when it's a beautiful sunny day outside...nonetheless, here are some updates on what's planned for this group over the next few months.
Our monthly meetings will take place on Thursday 3rd November and Thursday 1st December, at Carr's Pub. You can vote for what we read in the Polls section of the site: go to www.meetup.com/anglophonebookclub and then click on the More tab at the top, and select Polls. The top two, as chosen by you before Monday 3rd October, will be the reads for November and December respectively.
Look out for more meetings organised by Jessica around themes: October's will be about books and their film adaptations, November is a book exchange (come along and bring a book you're willing to swop) and in December there'll be a quiz.
Some of you already know Ganit, from our group. She is organising the Paris chapter of La Journee Internationale de l'Accessibilite, an event that takes part on 8th October to highlight accessibility issues for persons with reduced mobility. An event invitation will be winging its way to you soon: they need volunteers to 'test out' accessibility within the 12th arrondissement. Please, think about sparing a few hours to go along and help. Look out for a Meetup event on the site about this, and post a message for Ganit if you'd like more info.
Finally, don't forget that anybody can suggest a meeting, book related or otherwise.
Look forward to seeing you soon,
