Hope you all enjoyed your summers and are fully adjusted to the working routine again...
The last few months have been quiet ones for our club, and we plan to get back into the swing of things late October or early November, so if you have suggestions for a book to share, please get in touch. If you're new to the club, you may not know that the original intention was to include some books about, or set in, Paris/France.
In the meantime, don't forget to join Douglas (co-organiser) at the American Library Used Book Sale on October 6th at 10am.
If you fancy picking up some bargains, there's another opportunity on 21st October, when the SOS Helpline (a charity that supports English-speakers in Paris) holds a booksale of used books. All paperbacks are 1 euro and all hardbacks 2 euros, so you're sure to find a bargain. This sale is from 12-4pm at Orrick Law Offices
31 avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie, 75016 Paris. Nearest metros are Alma Marceau or Kleber.
In the meantime, please don't forget that all members are able to create meetings, so if you have an idea for an outing, or would just like a drink with a fellow book lover, you can post it on the site.
