Special Event Workshop: "Animal Day of Remembrance: Your Healing Journey"

Update: We are grateful to the number of benefactors who are subsidizing admission tickets so that this discounted $40 price is now available to you. We could not do this without their assistance, so we are immensely thankful.

Are you caring for an ailing or elderly animal companion?

Are you coping with the loss of your companion?

Do you know someone who is?

Do you work with, or on behalf of, animals on a regular basis?

We can all take away something useful from this workshop.

Each animal companion that touches our lives leaves their own unique mark on our hearts; a mark which can never be erased. It’s those little things about our animal friends that can remain a part of us forever. Please know that the bond you shared will continue and endure throughout your lifetime, and the love your friend left behind is yours to keep forever.

We warmly welcome you to join distinguished guest speakers and leaders in the new and emerging field of service for animals and those who love them: Drs. Craig Haley & Kris Lecakes Haley, Tracy Rothstein, Pattie Rothstein, and practitioner Cindy Farrimond. We will meet at beautiful Noah's to share a day of thoughtful reflection and remembrance of animals whom we have loved and lost across our lifetime.

The backdrop for this unique and interactive day will unfold in a supportive, safe space where you will have the opportunity to learn, begin to heal, and honor the unbreakable connection you created with your cherished animal companion.

In this multi-faceted engagement, we will enter into empowering presentations, workshops and activities developed to better acquaint us with the components of the grief process, how we can navigate our way through it, and the personal growth that awaits us on the other side of our healing journey. Incorporated into this time together is a candle lighting ceremony designed to honor the animals whose lives have changed ours forever.

Interwoven into this special haven will be soothing experiences to help bring forth inner peace and calmness as you begin, or continue, on your positive healing journey. This is a time for you.

We extend this invitation as a gentle reminder that we understand what you are going through and we offer you our heartfelt encouragement to treasure the lasting memories you have built.

Please note, anyone who is caring for an ailing companion, who is a gentle shoulder for someone working through loss, or who simply wishes to learn more on this subject are more than welcome to attend.

You are encouraged to bring a photo or special reminder of the joy and love you have in your heart for your past and present cherished companions.

We feel such immense gratitude for the heart, soul, and love that was poured into this memorable experience. We simply could not have offered this day without enormous help from all the hard-working folks that came together to make this such a lovely gathering. We are enormously grateful to our hard-working event volunteers. Many thanks to the caring and humble expert panel members, our most gracious moderator, and supremely talented chef, all who volunteered their time. This workshop will be beneficial for folks who have lost animal companions for any reason, including the loss of an animal buddy who was lost & never made it back home. This sense of loss is certainly as worthy and valid as losing a companion to ill health or advanced age ♥ Also, anyone who is (or wishes to be) a gentle shoulder for a loved one working through loss & is seeking some guidance and resources, you will gain much from this day. For anyone who hasn't experienced loss, but who nonetheless wishes to learn more, will find this workshop a treasure-trove of useful information. We'll also cover the topic of children & grief, and the loss that animals feel when they lose their animal buddies. Compassion fatigue (as that experienced by rescue volunteers, animal foster parents, cruelty investigators, animal paramedics/EAMT's, etc) too will be touched upon! The backdrop for this day will be a serene, peaceful, welcoming, soothing environment that is intended to be your day.

There is such a need in the community for people who are grieving the loss of an animal companion to know that they are not alone and that what they are experiencing is perfectly normal. Thank YOU for bringing this into the community in such a positive and proactive way.
