The Paw Project Movie Screening - FREE!

Dear UAALA members,

Please join the Paw Project and the City of West Hollywood for a special FREE screening of the 1 hour documentary film, "The Paw Project," followed by an informal reception at the Pacific Design Center. To watch a trailer for this film, go to

The Paw Project Movie Screening
SilverScreen Theater
Pacific Design Center
8687 Melrose Ave
West Hollywood, California 90069
at the northeast corner of San Vicente Blvd. and Melrose Avenue

Monday, April 29,[masked] PM

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the West Hollywood Anti-Declawing Ordinance and we are celebrating!

The West Hollywood animal protection law was sponsored by the Paw Project and was the first Anti-Declawing Ordinance for domestic cats in North America.

Limited Free Parking across the street at:
625 N. San Vicente Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90069

Dr. Jennifer Conrad, documentary producer and founder of The Paw Project and Jim Jensvold will be there to answer any further questions you may have about the film.

Please join me in watching this amazing, moving documentary about the David versus Goliath struggle to ban the cruel practice of declawing cats in West Hollywood and surrounding cities in the LA area.

For the cats and all animals,

Armaiti May, DVM

(p.s. there are a couple shots of me in the film at one of the many city council meetings I attended to help ban declawing in those cities back in 2009) :-)

It just proves once again, that a great change usually starts with one person. Well, as vegans we're more than one, we're millions across the world. The great change is inevitable.

I agree, a great cause and a great film! P.S. we learned that the city of Malibu blatantly refused the pass this law and were being stubborn and quite rude to Dr. Conrad! She mentioned people were calling the Malibu vet hospital, asking if they declaw and then asking to be recommended to a humane vet! LOL! :)

Is this event a business attire or could I just show up on my pajamas? :-)

I am a union sound mixer in Los Angeles. I've been vegan for 11 years. I would very much welcome the opportunity to work on a vegan message film.
