Do you consider yourself a vegan or a vegetarian? How long have you been one?

vegetarian for about 9 years. i dont really eat cheese or eggs either but they tend to be in some of the boca or morningstar or breading of some items i eat.

What made you decide to become vegan/vegetarian?

my parents always had a lot of meat and cheese in the house and growing up i was always wondering why people would purposely consume things that can have such a wide variety of effects on their body and random bones and veins and stuff in them. then i was around 20 making some hamburger helper at my moms and as i ate it without spices realized a living had its being ended and i would still have to add spices to make it taste like something. it was merely a texture but a texture at a large cost. logic, empathy, and a little restraint leads to better health with a clear conscience and a better respect for all living things.

Care to share any favorite vegan recipes?

any vegan morningstar or boca products. if there are vegan crumbles i would just say tacos with el paso 40% less sodium seasoning or chili with low sodium peas, elbow noodles and tomato juice in it with a ton of chili powder

Any suggestions for future meet-up events?

No answer yet

Are there any great vegan resources/websites that we may have missed on our other page?

animalrescuesite clicking donates food

i am phillip. wannabe musician and filmmaker. i spread the word about vegetarianism in those projects when it makes sense to. if i ever start making money i would like to donate to animal rights groups or shelters or environmental groups
