A vegan, 15yrs
I read an article in Peta times while at college and finally woke up to what I had known all along but just never consciously admitted-I needed to be a vegetarian if I really cared about animals and people.
The smoothies at vegan glory are quite tasty. I don't know how to make them, but I'll see what I can do to get the recipe
I don't know what type of meet-ups you prefer. Because we deal with such horrific issues I find that it helps to just have fun sometimes. Still one of the greatest demos I was ever at was at the farmer john plant in Vernon on Oct 2 (Ghandi's B-day). It was a silent candlelight vigil. About 100 of us stretched around the bldg. You could hear the pigs cries behind the walls. It was so moving, and emotionally draining.
