On-topic posts vs General discussions and possible resolutions

Dear UAALA members,
Some people do not like to receive posts on general
issues even if they are loosely related to the group.
This includes topics like making money (rich activists
can do more), good shoes (activists without injured
feet can do more), hairstylists (appealing hair styles
may make delivered messages more appealing), etc.
If this list is for related general discussions too,
then those who would rather not receive such messages
should change the account settings for the group to
not receive mailing list messages (Meetup --> Account
---> Membership and Commn ---> UAALA ---> Not At All).
Please post related general discussions only
to"[address removed]" and not
"[address removed]". Despite having
said "Not At All", apparently announcements and
numerous event reminders still got sent to my email.
Luckily this ([address removed]) is a dummy account
that is just used for subscription to such email
intensive sites like Meetup, and not something I use
regularly. I just log in to Meetup.com to check on
events of this or other meetup groups.
Sincerely,
Retlif (my SPAM and Bulk email filter identity)
