Announcing a new meeting for United Animal Advocates of LA!
What: Leafletting and Video Outreach on the Promenade
When: Saturday, April 19, 8:00 PM
Where: Click the link below to find out!
Who should come: Everyone is welcome, whether you're a veteran or you've never been to an event! You'll be meeting other people who care about animals enough to give an hour or two of their time on a Saturday evening to raise awareness about their plight.
Why: We are the only voice the animals have! Let's use it to help them!
Meeting Description: We'll have another leafleting opportunity with simultaneous video outreach showing "Meet Your Meat" and "Earthlings" on the Third Street Promenade, from 8-10 pm this Saturday, April 19th. Look for us along 3rd Street between Broadway and Santa Monica Blvd.
Leafleting with Vegan Outreach literature is a fun, productive way to raise awareness and plant seeds (pun _intended_) for people to change their diets. Check out www.veganoutreach.org for more info on the wonderful work that activists are doing to inform people all over the U.S. and abroad about the plight of farmed animals. We are their voice and each of us counts because there are many fewer of us than them (approximately 3-5 million vegans in the U.S., and over 10 billion farmed animals who meet their end in the U.S. each year).
While leafleting can be a little unnerving at first, with practice it becomes second nature. Try out different opening lines and see what works for you (see the post on the message board on leafletting tips). Remember to try and stay positive!!
***Please RSVP to show your involvement in the group.*** Thanks a bunch!!
Hope to see you soon!
