I sent out a note a few days ago about the upcoming WorldFest on Saturday, May 10th. Although there is a $7 entrance fee, if you are interested in helping me for a short while throughout the day or for part of the day (up to an hour or 2 hrs. at the most) at my booth (advertising my veterinary house call practice for dogs and cats), I can get you in for free. This offer applies to up to 4 people. Basically, having a few helpers to staff the booth would allow me to take a few short breaks from my own booth to walk around and see other booths, hear speakers, give my own little talk at 3:40 pm, etc. If you are interested in this "opportunity," please email me at [address removed].
Also, for those of you who are interested in attending Animal Acres' Country Hoe Down on May 3rd, but not interested in paying $25 to do so, please consider attending as a volunteer - that way you'll get in for free! See previous email or visit www.animalacres.org for further details.

Meet other local animal rights activists. Gather information about animal abuse issues and discuss constructive, non-violent ways to raise awareness in our society about the plight of animals raised for food, fur, experimentation, and other uses. Encourage people to adopt a whole foods vegan diet which is respectful to animals, the environment, and our own health. Teach youngsters in the community the importance of showing compassion and mercy to creatures who are not able to speak up for themselves. Seek opportunities to empower ourselves to be the best possible animal rights advocates.
