Sent on: Tuesday, April 29, 2008 5:56 PM
Announcing a new meeting for United Animal Advocates of LA!

What: Dinner at Truly Vegan and Leafleting at Hollywood & Highland

When: Friday, May 16, 6:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Who should come: Anyone who has a sincere desire to help animals. Come one, come all! The more, the merrier!

Why: Get to know some veteran Vegan Outreach leafletters. Hang out with like-minded folks and educate the public about animal suffering they know nothing about!

Meeting Description: Hey fellow UAALA members!

Here is a special treat! Vegan Outreach Outreach Coordinators, Victor Tsou and Miranda Robbins, are visiting from the Bay Area. They will join us for dinner at Truly Vegan and then demonstrate their body screen video leafleting at Hollywood & Highland. They will walk show clips of Meet Your Meat and Earthlings. If you are new to leafletting and/or apprehensive about it (which is common but the nervousness fades with practice), please email me [address removed] for tips or look at the lealetting tips from previous posts. Remember this is a "Friendly Interactions Only" type of event, meaning everyone is expected to be friendly and respectful - including to occasional hecklers passing by. This type of outreach is something anyone can do and has a tremendous positive impact for the animals by raising awareness. There should be enough Vegan Outreach literature, and you are welcome to bring yours as well.

Hope you can join us!

:-) Armaiti
