Hi, my fiance, Josef Dochterman, and I are long time vegans and activists. We appreciate the work Mr. Simons has done on behalf of animals. I would gladly pay the donation fee to attend this (despite my increasing credit debt), but am really concerned about the other aspect of Mr. Simmons, which appears to promote low level, violent, sexual gratification along with the posting of Illuminati verbage even though Mr. Simmons states "Illuminati" is only a term people concocted, due to people being jealous of successful people. In Rhianna's S & M video, where people are held by bondage, there are words flashing all over the screen stating "Rhianna Princess of the Illuminati Slut." Sensuality is not the issue, it's the fact this piece goes beyond being sexy. It exhumes negative messages. Negativity, which is being passed along to us from artists on Mr. Simmons label. This is counteracting with his good work. I am an artist myself, and know sometimes the audience can mistake the meaning of the artist's intention....but Mr. Simmons says the Illuminati doesn't exist while boasting it on screen next to words like "slut." It's sad to me the direction some music has taken over the last years. Anyway, just wanted to give my view point that I would attend your fundraiser, if indeed Mr. Simmons took positive messages in music as seriously as he does animal welfare.

Thanks for reading this, and I hope this message will get to the right eyes. No one is perfect, but it is great to know societal art has the potential to progress in a way to uplift instead of constantly dumbing down the masses and in some instances continuing to degrade woman, even in this year of 2013. Free speech is great, if one utilizes it effectively. Def Jam records needs to motivate and uplift, then Mr. Simmons will be on the same page with his animal advocacy beliefs.

Thank you for your attention.
