HARBOR SHELTER – SAN PEDRO
12 SHITZUS --- UNTIL
NOW, A LIFETIME OF NEGLECT --- Surrendered
to Harbor Shelter by a
family member after the death of the dog's
owner. Some so severely matted they
were unable
to walk. One w/ a thick
mat
covering an eye. Mats bound around their teeth.
Mats so thick on their feet when
removed they look like UGG boots. Toenails impossibly long.
So flea
infested that gums were pale
and now days later only beginning to turn
pink. They were greasy,
smelly, and filthy dirty… and
so, so sad & broken. One dog was euthanized… just too
sick. AND THE OTHERS… see
below!
Well, an amazing
and kind volunteer named Karen who
grooms the Harbor dogs begged for
their lives to be spared. Karen has
been working countless hours,
along w/ volunteer Anthony's
assistance, to get these fur
babies cleaned up and feeling good
again w/ tails wagging.

IS LIKE TO BE LOVED AND CARED FOR!!
They have suffered enough and deserve
only the best for the rest of a lifetime. Koko Fay and Rex have
gone to Best Friends! Gerry, Bibo, and
Pumpkin – RESCUED!

*Plum sized mass hanging from her
groin, possible inguinal hernia.
*Sweet
little girl that has had a hard life seeming older
than her 8 years.
*Appears
to have some vision.
*Not
the most affectionate of the bunch but maybe she's
just in need of some good TLC!
BEST FRIEND,

*A friendly,
sweet girl, jumps up to greet
you looking for attention.
*The fur on her
back is sparse but the
skin is soft and there may be re-growth.
*R eye – cherry
eye, L eye - poor/fair condition.
MELLOW, A[masked], 8 years old
*Can be friendly
and will allow you to carry him.
*Poor boy surrendered in bad shape and has a
bit of an attitude.
*Eyes and skin in poor
condition.
*He needs extra care and understanding…
lots of TLC!!
POLO, A[masked], 5 years
old
*Puppy-like w/ his new
hair-do.
*Adorable with fur that is
soft as silk.
NANE, A[masked], 11
years old
*Nane is always
wagging her tail and enjoys affection.
*Skin condition one
of the worst but is improving.
*Fur on her back is
sparse w/ elephant like rolls of excess skin.
*Vision is poor,
possibly blind.
*She seems older than
11
but she’s had a hard life.
CRUTON, A[masked], 10 years old
*Cute little underbite, sweet and
affectionate, loves crawling into laps.
*Fur on his back is sparse but the skin
is soft and there will likely be re-growth.
*Poor eyesight, if not blind.
