Join FARM & Others for Vegan Earth Day! Yes, there's still time to join FARM and hundreds of local activists for Vegan Earth Day! It's a superb opportunity to spread the vegan message at a local Earth Day event on or around April 22nd. Check out our national listing and sign up! Participating is easy! All you need to do is take an hour or two to distribute our brand new environmental tri-folds, featuring an info-graphic covering the full, devastating
environmental impacts of animal products -- they're perfect to reach a prime audience. If you don't find an Earth Day event in your area, you can still distribute our brochures at a suitable public gathering in your community. Visit our registration page to find events & request brochures today! COK's U.S. VegWeek Is April 21 - 27 As an extension of Vegan Earth Day, we invite you to help our friends at Compassion Over Killing in collecting vegan pledges from your friends and family. You can also encourage local restaurants to offer discounts on vegan options or a new vegan menu item during VegWeek. Find out more about how you can get involved at USVegWeek.com. Letters from FARM Promote Veganism FARM's letters-to-the-editor program has been going strong since 1996, linking benefits of the vegan lifestyle to current news developments or national holidays. The editorial page is second only to the front page as the most read newspaper page. Each of our 16 letters per year is published in 50-60 local papers, likely engaging millions of small-town readers, not generally reached by other messages from our movement. This year's letters have addressed: eating meat is as bad as smoking, USDA's inspection program, vegetarians live longer, Meatout, and the
pro-animal blockbuster "Noah." Find out more at our Letters from FARM page. FARM Scores at DC Cherry Blossom Fest FARM staff and volunteers took part in
DC's famed Cherry Blossom Festival last weekend to publicize the benefits of a vegan diet. We distributed 1,000 samples of cruelty-free cherry-flavored vegan cheese bites, along with our Live Vegan brochures. Check out more photos on FARM's Facebook page.
