Please Help--It Takes Mere Seconds!

Hey everyone,

An incredibly disturbing bill needs to be vetoed immediately. It's SB 880, which would allow the sale of kangaroo skin again. All you have to do is call the governor's office, but don't worry, you don't even have to talk to anyone. All you have to do is call (916)[masked] for an automated system. I just did it and it only takes a matter of seconds.
It will first ask about what language you want the call to be in. Then it will list a few selections from which to choose. Pick number 5 to "voice your opinion on a Senate bill.? The automation will direct you to select which bill you want to voice your opinion on (choose S. 880 on kangaroos). After that you will be offered the option to (1) support S. 880, or (2) oppose it. Be sure to WAIT and press (2) to OPPOSE S. 880.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to make this crucial call!

Below you can read more about the bill:

SB 880?Overturns Ban on Sale of Kangaroo Skins and Products
Sponsor(s): Senator Ron Calderon
ASPCA Position: Oppose
Action Needed: Urge Governor Schwarzenegger to veto SB 880

Legislation that would overturn a ban on the sale of kangaroo skins and products in California has passed both houses of the state legislature and is now on the Governor?s desk. If this bill becomes a law, it would invalidate a law implemented in 1970 to protect kangaroos by prohibiting the sale of their skins.

Sadly, a bill passed the Legislature last session reversing similar protections for alligators. It is very important that the same fate does not now befall kangaroos.
