  • Dear Animal Advocates,

Every year millions of animals are maliciously tortured and killed in laboratories for reasons unjustified in today's modern world. Their deaths must not pass unnoticed and unmentioned! Please join us on Sunday, in a peaceful demo at the corner of Auburn Road and Crile Road, Painesville, Ohio from 11:00am to 12:30pm. (The address for the Waffle House to find the location on your GPS is: 7505 Crile Road, Concord, OH 44077, and park in the back parking lot of the Waffle House)

We will set this day aside to remember their deaths and resolve to take meaningful action on behalf of ALL of the animals still imprisoned in Ricerca Biosciences and laboratories across the U.S. and around the world.

We welcome everyone to also join us in a demonstration that will be held following this rally at the Lerner Research Institute
a facility notorious for cruel and archaic vivisection—located at the corner of E. 100th Street and Carnegie Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio.  We will demonstrate there from 2:00pm  to 3:30pm.  (free parking in the garage on 100th and Carnegie on Sunday's)

Signs are provided, however, feel free to make one of your own creative signs as well and bring it with you!

Animal experimentation is a scandal that has been hidden from the American public. We have been lead to believe that the animals used in experiments are well treated and that the procedures performed on these animals are thoroughly regulated and governed by federal laws. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Over 90% of the animals used in experimentation are purposely excluded from protection under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA—the only federal law that governs animal experimentation). Rats, mice, birds, and many other species have been expressly eliminated from all safeguards.

The AWA places no real restrictions on what can be done to an animal during an experiment. Animals are routinely subjected to addictive drugs, electric shock, food & water deprivation, isolation, severe confinement, caustic chemicals, burning, blinding, chemical and biological weapons, radiation, etc. The "scientist" in question only has to say that a specific procedure is "necessary" for the experiment, and it is allowed. The goal is not to protect the animal; the goal is to insure that the experiment proceeds—at any cost.'

Hey everyone! I have some bummer news but I won't be able to make the protest tomorrow. I'm really sorry bc I've been planning on going. Unfortunately I came down w the flu really bad and today (Sat) is the first day since then to not be running a 102 temp along w the other symptoms. I lost some weight and still fatigued so to be safe and get back to normal health, I'm resting all weekend. I truly apologize and I will def join you at the next one! Fingers crossed the weather stays decent for you all! Good Luck!

70 percent chance of more snow for Sunday and freezing temperatures! Are you sure you want to do this for January? I am a whimp!

I have a surprise for everyone. Here's a hint: the secret word(s) is "hand warmer".

That's great Jessica! There is a perfect opportunity to pass out literature at the stop light in front of the building.

I am still planning on coming up from Erie on Sunday. I did post on my site but I don't think anyone else can make it. I will be bringing some leaflets and posters about vivisection that PETA sent me.

I'm going to post this on the Erie Vegan meetup as well and see if I can get others to come with me.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
