I hope I’m doing this right, and this post goes out to all the Animals Rights Meet Up members.

On Christmas day, I rescued a rabbit from a neighbor’s yard near my uncle’s home in Ashtabula County (Plymouth Township).  I asked a couple of the neighbors if they knew where it might have come from, but no one had any idea.  From the sound of it, he’s been wandering the area for six to eight weeks and appears to be healthy.  It’s clearly a pet rabbit, calm, but somewhat timid.  I haven’t tried actually holding him, but he will let me pet him.  He’s white with some light brown/gray markings.  I’m keeping him in a large dog crate in my basement, and feeding him fresh veggies, apples, and rabbit pellets.

Does anyone know someone who might be interested in giving the little guy (girl?) a loving, forever home?  I already have two large dogs and seven cats (all rescues), and can’t take on another pet at the moment.  I couldn’t bear to leave him outdoors, knowing real winter weather was on its way, along with the possibility of becoming coyote or fox food.

Alternatively, are there any rabbit rescue groups I might contact?  I can provide pictures if necessary.

Thanks you so much!
