> At the Euclid animal shelter there are two beautiful young kittens, brother and sister, one of which is in peril of being euthanized.
>
> Casper the boy is an all bright white kitten, one blue eye and one green eye, who is deaf and timid scared of everything. His sister Katarina is a gorgeous  marked calico who looks after her brother Casper.
>
> God only know what these tow have gone through. Dumped at the Warrensville shelter, Euclid shelter agreed to take and care for them.
>
> Now at the euclid center, time is running out for them. The shelter is talking about putting Casper down because he is so shy, he and Katarina act if they have both been abused.  The shelter believes he is unadoptable because he is not an outgoing social kitty not to mention his deafness
>
> I believe in my heart Casper will be fine put with his sister in the right environment. They need to go to a home that is single story slab, like a ranch style house or apartment(no attic or basement).  The owner has to have patience and an abundance of love, no other pets or children that would challenge Casper's senses.
>
> Please help. There is someone somewhere out there with the loving home for these kitties. A kitty should not have to die because he was born with a minor disability.

Here is a new message from Ginger:
Please read the email from Ann Mills, Director of the Euclid Animal Shelter. The kittens Casper and Katarina where never going to be euthanized. Ann is very upset with the email from Vickie Chapman.

I take total responsibility in sending you Vickie's email about these two kittens..I believed every thing she said way true, without checking it out.

Euclid Animal Shelter is the gold standard for animal welfare and rescue. This has been very upsetting for Ann Mills. She runs a first class shelter and the animals always come first.

My deepest apology to Ann Mills and the Euclid Animal Shelter'

Please re post on your email list ...thank you Kathy and Sandie

Thank you,

Ginger

This is the first I've heard of these kittens being put down. I don't appreciate volunteers lying just to get these 2 adopted. I will be looking into this. If an animal were to be euthanized there would be a medical or aggression problem and I always get a Veterinarians opinion. We don't put healthy adoptable animals down. This email should have never gone out. These kittens have been here for weeks and I am the one that took them in. They have been tested and are healthy. I am very upset over this email.
