Sorry I didn't know that Cathy, I expect cos most ARAs support the AF ppl and not the EDL/BNP they would blame the group they dislike and not want to accept those they like are equally disruptive.

I agree Jennifer. I felt what did we achieve. I felt a bit deflated afterwards.

it was lovely to see so many people even though i well behind with my uni essay it was worth it. shame about being rerouted but the pics speak for themselves and we managed to get mentioned on bbc news and channel 4 and was also mentioned even though small in 3 papers sunday. i just feel helpless now, there was a post on stop the badger cull about 10pm last night about a 4x4 heading towards a farm in tewkesbury, i wish i lived nearer the areas, hope the oppositional debate vote goes well on weds, just trying to get people to email their mps and sign the petition now. hands up for the hunt sabs and everyone else standing together.

Good, but I don't think we gain anything walking through quiet streets.

    3 · June 3, 2013

there was nothing visible on the BBC news that day, shame

      1 · June 3, 2013

I agree... Walking quiet streets will not change anything. Wish I lived near the culling areas :(

Lesley - I handed out all of your leaflets on Saturday so fingers crossed you get more support in your worthwhile cause to stop the deer cull.

Thank you so much! I wish I had sent more out to each person but I'd hugely underestimated how many ppl would be there!

Just bought my badger mask this week-end. Lesley I would have been willing to distribute some of your leaflets but unfortunately will be travelling into London by train from Farnborough or Woking - unless you want to meet up before?

    May 7, 2013

    • Cathy

Hi Lesley - just to say I received the flyers today so will hand out to as many local people as I can find on Saturday. Hope your day goes well too.

      May 29, 2013

    • Lesley D.

Thanks for letting me know, it seems at least three out of 6 ppl received them yesterday so the post is working well and fast this time! Hopefully all the others will receive theirs today and many thanks for your help. I hope to get to meet you on 19th July.. I am certainly aiming to be able to help on your collection for the sanctuary that day travel plans permitting.

I'm hosting this event for the London Vegetarian and the London Vegan meetup groups so we'll try to find you guys! We're meeting outside Pimlico Tube station at 11.15am in case anyone wants to join us.

    May 20, 2013

    • Helen

Cool, look forward to seeing you at Pimlico. I'm sure we'll see the rest of the marchers once we get neat the Tate Britain - looks like its going be be massive - I hope so anyway!

Richard and I will be attending - will try to find B&W to wear

Would you also be willing to help me please by distributing some leaflets, about my public meeting about the deer cull? I notice you are in the same area as me - Hampton - so handing over the leaflets will be easy if you could help with this. I am sending some to Cathy in the post but getting more ppl to distribute on the same march would be good

The march does no longer start in Victoria Tower Gardens. It now starts in Millbank, close to the Tate Gallery (SW1P 4RG). Please change the location. http://www.londonagainstthecull.org.uk/

Good to see so many from this group going, SO I have a favour to ask pls. Could anyone here distribute a hundred or couple of hundred flyers for me about my deer cull public meeting to other demo attendees? I had it suggested to me I ought to distribute my flyers on the badger cull demo, but I am leafletting the Epsom Derby with Brenda on 1st June because it is Derby Day, and I felt I was needed more there on this occasion (this badger protest is already looking to be a popular well attended demo while horse races are largely neglected apart from the Grand National)

Sorry I cannot make it but this is an important one to have on this group I think!
