Animal Aid’s 10th annual sponsored walk takes place on London’s Hampstead Heath on Saturday 13th July. The star of the walk this year is a gorgeous little terrier called Pudding, a dog used for badger-baiting until rescued by the RSPCA. Pudding now lives with one of Animal Aid’s supporters and she is the happiest, friendliest dog you can meet.
The walk is 10km (7 miles) in all, but you can go at your own pace, and it’s an enjoyable, relaxing and healthy event amongst like-minded people. If you would like to take part alongside Pudding, please email Mark Phillips [masked] or telephone[masked] ext 223 for your registration pack.
I should be here at 12:30, the walk will start at 1:00 pm so plenty of time to chat. Please call when you arrive.

On the day
Please arrive by 12.45pm at The Bandstand, Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead Heath to register.
The registration desk opens at 12.30pm and the walk starts at 1pm.
This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. Remember to check the weather forecast before you leave.
This year there are two routes, the first is 4 laps of the 2.5km route, which takes you over Parliament Hill. The second is much shorter, flatter, one mile route, which is ideal for people if they can’t manage the hill
Vegan Campaigns will be on hand with delicious snacks and drinks for sale throughout the walk.
Public toilets are very close to the start of the walk.
Parking is limited, so we recommend public transport. If you do decide to drive, there is a car park at the Lido and its about £4 for 2-4 hours. There is free parking on Highgate Road and neighbouring residential roads. The following buses take you straight to the Heath: nos 214, C2 and C11. Kentish Town is the nearest tube and Gospel Oak is the closest main line station.
