Walk around outside Bushy Park to raise awareness about the deer cull

We will be starting the awareness walk at 11am (leaving the meeting point no later than 11.30 once t shirts are distributed) on 1st September, meeting at the Kingston/Hampton Wick roundabout, on the Hampton Wick side of the bridge, postcode KT1 4AG. We can catch a bus a bit of the way along towards Hampton so we only need to walk in the more busy areas, such as the main shopping streets of Hampton Hill, Teddington and Hampton Wick. Oystercards recommended.

This is the day before the start of the September cull in Bushy Park. We will hand out leaflets and be dressed up to raise awareness among the locals about the forthcoming deer cull and alternatives we are proposing. I would appreciate ppl joining me for a short time during any part of the walk. I will be dressed as a deer. Some of us will have campaign t shirts or antlers (I have a few pairs for those who are not purchasing a t shirt or otherwise dressed up).

If we have enough campaigners we may split into two groups so all of us do not have to cover all the local high street areas and if there is time we can do some campaigning in Kingston or within the park itself.

My number for on the day is[masked] (in case anyone is late and wants to meet us along the route).

Yes of course, all very welcome! Although I will have to update nearer the time how long it will be, it could be too long for most children and dogs to do the whole walk as it I intend to cover a few miles around the outside of the park, eg taking in Hampton Court and Hampton and Hampton Hill High Street, carrying on to Teddington, along the main street there most likely, and also Hampton Wick, I reckon about 10 to 12 KM total to get the whole way around the park (although we may bus it for a little of the way where there are not likely to be so many ppl in the quieter bits such as Hampton Court Road.
You are welcome to join us for as long or as short a part of the walk as you wish though, so for that I would recommend Hampton Hill High St and/or Teddington town centre (Broad St/High St) as the possibly busiest areas.
