Leafletting against horseracing cruelty

William Hill Winter Festival is a very busy two day race meet at Kempton Park. Please join us to leaflet with Animal Aid leaflets to inform the racegoers why they should be boycotting this so-called sport.

10 until 1 both days.

When you reply please state which day you can do.

We had serious bullying from the security guards at Kempton, can any more ppl help tomorrow please, in the light of this?
They even stole our leaflets and binned them (my friend cleverly retrieved them when they were not looking at the bin!)

588 AR activists on this group, no doubt some at the SW end of London and not even one of you willing to help me and Brenda with educating the race goers about the cruelty they are supporting???

It's pretty disgraceful really.. and I am not talking about the people who already do lots, such as Hannah, Robert, Thompson and various others here, you know who you are if you are already active, and especially I am definitely NOT criticising the wonderful people out sabbing hunts today. No, I mean those who claim to be animal rights but never show your faces in real life demos and events, who just sit on your computers and do nothing, which seems to be actually many of the members!

We are going ahead today but fed up that in about 8 years we have never been able to drum up enough interest to be more effective at this huge race meet due to never getting more than 3 or 4 people at any one time (and usually just the two of us).

Actually we are back to just myself and Brenda doing both days and still nobody else has committed to helping (Rachel told me she had to drop out). We are very desperate for help as these are very busy race days

Sorry, other half has things planned as he's working Christmas Day. Wanted to let people know here that (on one of my rare days of getting out the house), today i visited the Eden craft market in Kingston (in the white tent opposite John Lewis), and they have TWO stalls that are selling real fur. Both of the people at both of the stalls confirmed it was real-sickening! One of them also added that it was 'ok as they were killed for a butcher' - oh! So that makes it ok does it-moron. There was a bloke buying also, so I educated them, his response was that he couldn't really care less as they taste good anyway. I just got in that 'women who wear them resemble hookers' and it 'always looks better on the original owner' before my other half dragged me off (probably for the best as he knows how I feel about it and other injustices surrounding animals. I did tweet to Eden Crafts to stop this. Thought I'd let you know as know a few of you are around the Hampton/Kingston

Thanks, I wish I'd time to organise a protest, well done to you speaking up. I had heard they had fur there but not had time to go in even though had been in Kingston. I will get more ppl to message their facebook page for sure!

Thanks, we now have Rachel and daughter helping on the 26th.
It would be great to get some help on the 27th which in practical terms may also be easier for more people than the 26th if you don't have your own transport as public transport should be pretty much normal that day.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
