VOLUNTEER DAY AT FRIEND FARMED ANIMAL SANCTUARY

Meet at Charing Cross station at 9.15 - by the ticket office. Please bring £5 note and some pound coins for the fare - or drive down.  For a group of 4 or more there is a 50% discount fare.

Bring wellies, a change of trousers/top and a snack or potluck to share. Lifts to and from Paddock Wood Station are available.

These visits are always enjoyable: usually we help with outdoor maintenance and other mini projects around the sanctuary.  Its also  chance to meet like-minded people and interact with many rescued farmed animals (normally including feeding them).......we usually leave around 5pm but people can leave earlier if they want of course.

Thank you dear friends.

Thanks to all who came to Friend today. Hope everyone enjoyed it, we had a good turnout and on that subject, the sanctuary are saying it's better for them to have 10 people twice a month than 20 once a month so we are thinking of trying that, the only concern being that we may not get enough people if we go twice a month, which has been the case at times in the past. So it would be good to know how many people plan to attend regularly over the next few months...... can you let us know on here please? Thanks.

I wouldn't be able to attend regularly unfortunately but I hope to come occasionally.

Hello, it is the first time I am coming to this kind of event. Do I need to arrange with someone for getting from Paddock wood station to the farm or everybody just show up at charing cross and arrange themselves afterwards ?

Hello Anne-Lauren, everyone meets at Charing Cross station at 9.15 by the ticket office - look for people with rack sacks and wellies! Someone in the group will arrange for a lift before you arrive at paddock wood. We look forward to seeing you xx

Hi Clare. I'll be going by train from Charing X. Expect there'll be a few of us.

Anyone travelling to the station by tube, hoping to alight at Embankment, be aware that the District and Circle line will not be running on that stretch of the line (see link below). Probably best get the tube to Charing X itself.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
