Mark World Day for Farmed Animals, and have a great meet up in Brighton!

Farmed Animal March – October 6th 2012

Please come to a March for Farmed Animals! On Saturday October 6th, we will be marking the World Day for Farmed Animals, (on October 2nd every year) with a rally and march in Brighton. Help raise awareness of the cruelty in farming, and promote a veggie diet for the sake of the animals, the environment, and health!

Meet from 1pm at The Level, near the vegan cafe 'The Loving Hut' for speeches and food, then come on the march at 2.30pm.

We will march through the heart of the city, past many meat-eating restaurants etc, and along the seafront. We will finish after a couple of hours in Victoria Gardens, not far from the Palace pier, and Pavilion.

You are then very welcome to join us for a free social event, with bar and free food (please donate something to help Sussex Action for Animals!) Starting from approximately 6pm, it is at the Cowley Club, a vegan cooperative in London Road in Brighton, ten minutes walk. In the unlikely event of going over capacity, there are also many great veggie restaurants and pubs nearby!
Please come to show the public there is a more compassionate way to live, and have a great day out in this exciting city, known as 'The Vegan Capital'!

If you would like any fliers or posters to give to friends, please contact[masked] or [masked]. Donations would also be most appreciated.

Hi, I shall be attending this with my 19 month old son, who will be on my back for the march. He is vegan too and I am pleased to be taking him on his first march for animals :o)

How shall we all find one another? Are we especially going to make an effort from this group to travel together or at least meet up? I know Lisa and Amanda, not sure who else I would recognise on this group though.
For reference in case anyone wants to travel together part way, I've booked with which is fairly reasonably priced, my outward journey (after I travel Hampton to Clapham) is Clapham 11.12 getting into Brighton at 11.57, return is 19.49 from Brighton, and again I change at Clapham, to get home.
My number is[masked] if anyone wants to get the same transport, although I think (and this is just my personal view) booking in advance is good, maybe better than groupsave (then you only have to rely on yourself and not on getting 4 ppl).
I'm planning on getting my return train a while after the demo so as to have a bit of free time, to either eat out, or more likely go to the fundraiser event afterwards or the greyhound demo, organised by SAFA.

Rachel have you noticed that you put this event up 3 times in error? It might be a good idea to remove the duplicates so ppl all reply in one place.
