VOLUNTEER DAY AT FRIEND FARMED ANIMAL SANCTUARY

Spring is in the air and we are off to Friend!

Friend is a vegan run Farmed animal sanctuary.

If you missed the last two opportunities, today we will also be helping clear an area for a shed for the hens/ducks/turkeys.  We hope to fund raise for the shed and some useful yard tools - if you would like to make a donation or want to fundraise - please let me know! :))

Meet at Charing Cross station at 9.15 - by the ticket office. Please bring £5 note and some pound coins for the fare - or drive down.

Bring wellies, a change of trousers/top and a snack or potluck to share.  Lifts to and from Paddock Wood Station are available.

These visits are always enjoyable and a chance to meet like-minded people and interact with many animals that have been rescued from the farmed animal industry (normally including feeding them).......we usually leave around 5pm but people can leave earlier if they want of course.

Thank you dear friends.

Sorry I meant when you get to Paddock Wood call the sanctuary and they'll come and fetch you from the station.

To answer Jessica, we meet at the main ticket office on the concourse, at about 9.15 am as it says above. Can someone who's been before put their number on here please, I can't be there as I normally drive up from Sussex. It's good to meet up as then you get a cheaper fare for a group of over 4 people. I think it's about a 9.40am train to Paddock Wood, if anyone's late don't worry just get the next train to Paddock Wood and call one of the numbers given on here or the sanctuary number,[masked]

Hi guys, I'm really looking forward to this!! How are you usually organise the food do people tend to bring their own stuff or rather share? Shall we bring carrots etc for the animals too?

Yes, it makes sense with donating money - or getting them something from their wishlist they have on amazon? I've bought apples and carrots today though - feel like I don't want to come with empty hands as you do when you visit someone :)

Hello there, can someone please ask to Mark whether he can give me a pair of wellies like the last time? I do not have any and cannot afford one unfortunately.

Going there by car is no problem. :) Last time, there were a couple of people who drove to the sanctuary on their own. If you're willing to rideshare, it would be nice if you could tell us where you're coming from. :)
