RE: [animalrights-202] Would anyone else like to be an Assistant Organiser. or post up your own un official meet ups?

Viva are brilliant! We will be around at that event, I might be offering to help on one of the stalls, but have not committed myself to anything just yet.

I am sure we can put you as an assistant organiser if you would like us to (I will have to ask Paul or CL as I don’t know how to do it!).

Since it is only myself and Paul Bruce-Joy who are active on the organiser list, we would welcome one or two more volunteers to join us as assistant organisers.
Would anyone else like to do this alongside us?
It's really not such a huge task even if you can coordinate a meet up only once every 6 months, it will still help to make the group more active.
For instance you could choose a protest being organised on Arevents list, or a large national demo, eg a SPEAK or SHAC demo, something that you intend to go to, and put that as a meet up for this group.
Or if any of you are running an animal rights/welfare stall or street collection, you could invite the members to join you.
Occasionally a social is fine too, for a bit of variety, eg at a veggie restaurant.
Even if you don't volunteer as an organiser, please feel free to post up on the mailing list if you want any of the group to meet up with you for anything for animal rights. It does not have to be an official meet up.
The more activity the better for raising public awareness of the issues.
