Our last potluck before Sakuracon, so we'll be doing something a bit different--and once again we're in Ballard, courtesy of Avalon!
For this potluck, we're doing live-action Asian cinema night! Bring all your favorite Asian shows: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or anything else--that you would like to share with the rest of the group. The weirder and more wonderful, the better! The last time we did this we watched movies ranging from the utterly silly to sci-fi serious, but anything fantastical is usually a good bet with this crowd.
The usual things to remember: we can't watch a whole series in a few hours, so we'll probably only watch a few episodes of any one thing, depending on what people want. So make sure to speak up if you like something! And please feel free to bring drinks or snacks to share with your fellow fans, if you want--women cannot live by anime alone, after all. :D
The meetup is at Avalon's house from 3 pm to 8-10 pm or so. We are in the middle of Ballard, but there should be street and driveway parking available; however, we do have people willing to carpool, so don't be afraid to ask. And as always, if anyone wants to offer alternate locations, I'm always open to new options...
That's it for now--I hope to see you all there!
(Directions and instructions: to get to the meetup, make sure to go to the very end of NW 67th St. When the street ends, a drive way continues through a couple houses and the one you want is the very last one. There is a 2 car garage with big numbers on it, and parking for at least six or seven cars if we squeeze, plus people can park about 1/2 a block away on the side of the street. Note: the door isn't the front door--go to the back door around the right side through the little garden pathway to be let in. We'll have the usual signs up so that you can spot it!)
