Lisa took the words out of my mouth...it was lightly attended. There were 5 people this Tuesday, including the younger knitter of Germanic background (Emily?) Nice group of knitters. Friendly and welcoming. They talked about lots of different kinds of knitting, and that some had elected to not do drop-spindle spinning stuff. Lisa critiqued the tip of the knitting needle sample I brought as too blunt and thus unworkable. I will correct the flaw (you can do that in wooden needles) and try again. I just don't want to intrude on this friendly bunch of people.

I won't be there this coming Tues, Aug 21. Our best friends in Whitmore Lake have invited us over for a special evening. Come again!
I'm doing great. Would love to see you at one of our knitting meetups. We also have an affiliated group meeting on Wed's at Kerrytown in the coffee shop. I used to go to both, but then I had a conflict on Wed. nights so don't go there now. The Tues. night group is usually bigger, esp. in non-summer. Going up North shortly for 10 days. When you first come, I'd have a knitting bowl and nostepinne in your bag to show to people.
Have you been to a Tues. night meetup yet? The gang tends to grow in the fall. I live on a lake, and with all the hot weather of late, I'm usually in it while my knitting waits for me.
Since I last saw you, I've taken some woodturning lessons and made my own knitting bowl from a log. I bring it every time I go to one of my knitting groups. I'm the only one in our group that has one, as far as I have observed. And I've never seen any at any local craft shows. I only learned about knitting bowls when my sister from Ohio gave me a gift of one from her pottery instructor last Dec. I keep that one at home in my living room and use my wooden one when I knit away from home.
Not until July 26 on a Tues. night. I love the cherry nostepinne I bought from you. And all the bowls, which I use all the time.
My favorite bowl man knits too? Or coming to show your stuff in wood? Sorry to miss you! -Linda G (Dutch, like you)
