Bow Tie Cinemas at the Harbour Center continues its weekly "Cine Classic" film series with the 1964 James Bond thriller, Goldfinger. Although there had been two Bond films before it, Goldfinger took the series into a new level of popularity and made an international star of its leading man, Sean Connery.
The first Bond film to win an Academy Award (Best Sound Editing) the movie perfectly blends fantasy and realism giving viewers equal amounts of suspense, action, and (for its day) daring sexual situations.

Often imitated, but never surpassed in the spy thriller genre, Goldfinger remains the quintesenntial Bond flick.
On Saturday April 13, starting at 10:30 a.m., I'll give a 25 minute talk before the film featuring information about its production and behind-the-scenes stories and trivia.
Admission is $5.50 ($4.50 with a Bow Tie free Criterion Club card which can be obtained online at Bow Tie's website or at the theater.)
Be sure to check Bow Tie Harbour 9's website for the complete list of weekend Cine Classic films scheduled for April.
I'll be doing presentations, beginning at 10:30 a.m., for each film at its Saturday screening.
Hope to see lots of fellow Annapolis Movie Club members Saturday mornings at Bow Tie Harbour 9.
