Pillow Talk with intro commentary by Ann Glenn Cruse (see trailer below)

Bow Tie Cinemas at the Harbour Center continues its weekly "Cine Classic" film series with the 1959 Doris Day-Rock Hudson comedy, Pillow Talk.

Pillow Talk was the first of the hugely successful Doris and Rock movies and their on screen chemistry was certainly a major contributor to the film's appeal.  The movie overflows with late 1950s style and watching it today is a time capsule of "Mad Men" era clothing and decor.

And would you believe Pillow Talk won the Oscar in 1960 for Best Screenplay?  Plus it received 4 other nominations including a Best Actress nomination for Doris Day.

Starting at 10:30 a.m., I'll give a 25 minute talk before the film featuring information about its production and behind-the-scenes stories and trivia.

Admission is $5.50 ($4.50 with a Bow Tie free Criterion Club card which can be obtained online at Bow Tie's website or at the theater.)

Be sure to check Bow Tie Harbour 9's website for the complete list of weekend Cine Classic films scheduled for May.

I'll be doing presentations, beginning at 10:30 a.m., for each film at its Saturday screening.

Hope to see lots of fellow Annapolis Movie Club members Saturday mornings at Bow Tie Harbour 9.

I know I've seen this one before, when it first came out, but can't remember a thing about it. Looking forward to a repeat. Love the commentary by Ann.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
