Auntie Mame (1958) with intro by Ann Glenn

Bow Tie Cinema at the Harbour Center continues its ongoing weekend "Cine Classic" Film Series with the 1958 comedy, Auntie Mame. Starring Rosalind Russell, the film is noted for its witty dialogue and laugh-out-loud physical comedy.

Rosalind Russell created the role of the eccentric and irrepressible Mame Dennis in the original Broadway play and Warner Brothers kept her in the starring role when they made the movie. Progressive in both her educational and social ideas for the orphaned nephew who comes to live with her, Mame charms and inspires in equal measure.
