Bow Tie Cinema Harbour 9 will be featuring 4 holiday films during December as part of their weekly "Cine Classic Film Series." Their first holiday offering is the delightful 1947 fantasy, Miracle on 34th Street.
With a winning story and perfect-pitch performances from Maureen O'Hara, Edmund Gwinn, and a very young Natalie Wood, Miracle on 34th Street is one of the best loved Christmas films ever made.
Here's the trailer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039628/
My commentary begins at 10:30 and includes little known/fascinating facts about the film's stars, director and production. The film starts at 11:00 a.m. Audience questions and comments are encouraged both before and after the screening.
Admission is $5.50 ($4.50 with a Bow Tie free Criterion Club card which can be obtained online at Bow Tie's website or at the theater.)
