Halloween 35th Anniversary

John Carpenter’s immortal 1978 classic, “HALLOWEEN,” is back on the big screen in a striking, new HD transfer and 5.1 audio.

I'm not the biggest fan of 70's-80's horror movies, but I've heard that the original 1978 Halloween is actually considered a great movie that spawned the modern horror genre -- and made Jamie Lee Curtis a big star!  So I can't resist the opportunity to see it on the big screen!

This presentation of “Halloween” will also include an exclusive documentary short from Justin Beahm entitled “YOU CAN’T KILL THE BOOGEYMAN: 35 YEARS OF HALLOWEEN.” The documentary focuses on the undeniable impact the film, and central figure Michael Myers, have had on culture and the genre.

Movie Synopsis:

Michael Myers, has spent the last 15 years locked away inside a sanitarium under the care of child psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence).

On October 30, 1978, Myers escapes and makes his way back home to Haddonfield, turning a night of tricks and treats into something much more sinister for three young women, including Laurie Strode, the star-making role for Jamie Lee Curtis.

Dr. Loomis is their only hope, but will he find his shadow-dwelling patient in time?

Ryan: Not sure if you received it, but I sent out an email earlier today with meeting time and my contact info. Basically, we're meeting at lounge in front of lobby (where couches are located) around 7pm.

If the police issue a "stay the f*** off the roads" declaration tomorrow, I do think we should follow that. Otherwise, see you all there!

I'll be suffering from a pretty bad case of cabin fever by then, so I'm game. Provided of course the roads are passable.

Bow Tie Annapolis is closed today (Mon), but it looks like they're planning to be open tomorrow.

I'm still leaning towards going ahead with the movie on Tues night. (For one thing, we may have cabin fever by then and might want to see a movie, conditions permitting.)

Is everyone still interested in going to the movie? Feel free to post comments or update your RSVP if necessary.
