STARTING IN AUGUST

NEW DAY: 2ND WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH
NEW UPDATED INFORMATION: <----- CLICK HERE
NEW FORMAT
PHOTOGRAPHERS GET'S 100% OF GROSS SALE
ALL IMAGES TO BE PRINTED ON CANVAS, METAL, OR GLASS

READ THIS CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY

This is our seventh monthly critique session in which you may enter up to three photographs for a professional critique and to possibly have your work chosen to be displayed for sale at Side Street Framers and Gift Gallery for the month of September.

Your images must have been taken withing the past 90 days.

This is NOT a competition, and no ribbons will be awarded. The reward is having your image(s) chosen for display and sale. The purpose of the critique session is to help you grow as a photographer, and to learn how to start thinking in terms of shooting, framing, and cropping your subjects for possible display.

This month's topic is VIVID COLORS.

The NEWLY REVISED precise details to participate in this meetup are HERE

Read them very carefully please.

The photographer now get 100% of the gross sale price of their images. You now only pay SSF&F+GG a hanging and exhibit fee.

You must bring a folding chair or stool with you.

Only enter images if you will be attending this critique and you're willing to move forward with getting them printed on canvas, metal, or glass, as per the newly revised details.

A NEW exciting feature to the photograph exhibit will be a “Viewers Choice Award”.  As customers view the exhibit they will be able to cast their “vote” as to who should win the award.  Our hope is that this new feature will create an excitement and create a “buzz” to our exhibit, which will create more exposure for you, us, and Side Street Framers.

What we are doing here collectively has made two local newspapers, so please be a part of this.

Hi Dave - I just read the new instructions, and they sound good! If I understand, rather than having the photos matted by SSF&GG (which I know is a lot of work for them) we'll be submitting them so that they don't need matting ( canvas, metal, glass.) Did I get it right? I haven't tried metal prints yet - been meaning to. I don't even know what glass prints are ;-) so this will be good for me to take the leap. Thanks, SteveR

Typically, if you get your canvas, metal, and glass prints from a Groupon, Amazon Local, or Living Social voucher that's available every month, your fees will run between $19 and $29 for up to a 16x20. That's less than the matting fees that were being charged. The vendors will probably vary month by month, and by whatever online voucher vendor you decide to use. We are trying something different to make the photographs more attractive to potential buyers. I have used various vouchers from the different online vendors with no complaints.

I will have samples at the next critique of all three.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
