The Anthropology Interests Group In New York City is an eclectic group of individuals curious about and/or interested in Anthropology, of various degrees and levels, exchanging and sharing their appreciation, enthusiasm, expertise and knowledge of Anthropology with each other. In addition, Members of The Anthropology Interests Group In New York City seek to both learn more about and further their knowledge and understanding of Anthropology, as well as broaden and increase public awareness and understanding of Anthropology. Whether it is any or all of the four primary fields, Archaeology, Biological/Physical Anthropology, Linguistic Anthropology and/or Socio-Cultural Anthropology; any and all sub-fields, such as Applied Anthropology, Ecological Anthropology, Forensic Anthropology, Historic Anthropology, Legal Anthropology, Medical Anthropology, Performance Anthropology, Pre-Historic Anthropology, Psychological Anthropology, Visual Anthropology, et caetera; and/or Ethnography and/or Ethnology, join together with other Anthropology enthusiasts and discuss your favourite areas, concepts, cultures, peoples, places, regions, societies, studies, subjects, themes and topics in Anthropology, and learn from one another!
All Members of The Anthropology Interests Group In New York City are REQUIRED TO AND MUST attend and participate in, at least, one regular monthly "MeetUp" meeting of The Anthropology Interests Group In New York City, every five months.
