Antioch Writers Group Monthly Meetup

  • This location is shown only to members

Writers will bring their works in progress, read them to the group and seek feedback. If you have a work to share, please bring at least 6 copies to pass around.

Please email Amy Blue directly, if you would like her to make copies for you in advance to be passed out for the meetup.

This group is self-sustaining due to the organizer's schedule who is not able to attend. However, if an assistant organizer is able to attend, they can help lead the group for that specific meetup. Members are encouraged to keep sharing to 10-15 minutes each, if the group is larger.

You can ask the library for a bigger conference room if the one usually used (downstairs in corner) gets too crowded.

When Amy is able, she will schedule a writing related speaker for the group at least once a year.

Please email M.O. or Amy Blue with any additional questions if needed.

This is a flash fiction contest that I participate in from time to time. There's no prize, just bragging rights, but it's a fun way to flex the old creative muscles and show off a little.

I will bring paper copies of my current MS. Should I bring copies of the whole novel, or just the first few chapters? I also have a version formatted for Kindle/Tablet.

We usually only have time to read about a chapter's worth of material per person, unless we have a low turnout.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
