Beers to You!

We've got a wine tasting on the book, now let's try a beer tasting!

Bring your favorite beer and be prepared to share! Since beer always makes me think of frat boys (despite the fact that there were no frats at my college and I only went to one frat party in my college days. Blame movies.), let's rock the college theme. Wear your college gear or colors. If you didn't go to college, get creative. (Hogwarts gear totally counts.)

Because of the limited space, I do request that if you're at the wine tasting event, you give space preference to those who were not. Thanks!

Hehehehehe! I'm finally getting out of a work glut! Could anybody help me get ahold of Erin? She has her e-mail permissions set so that I can't contact her 'cause I'm not an organizer and I need to find out if she thinks that clothes swapping is a good idea now that we're all sober! If so I needdsssss to get those overalls!

Have you tried posting a greeting on her direct page?

She has her permissions set so that can't happen. :)

Euro brews acquired. Muni seems to be on time; if traffic Is good I might be early.

I still haven't bought beer! Anybody in a position of wisdom have a request? I'm a camper and backpacker so, basically, I pretty much drink Dales in a can. I'm happy to do better than that but I don't know much about what to bring.

I should have brought some Voll Damm from Spain. Can't seem to find a place in CA that even ships it.

In addition to beer I'll probably Commonwealth it up with some cider.

I feel like to do beer right, you really need to go to a bar with lots of stuff on tap. This is basically just game night with slightly more beer and less games. We could just go Zeitgeist with taster cups ... no spot limit...

No no no. If you're going to get really serious about beer, we need to take small groups to either the Monk's Kettle in the Mission or the Trappist in Oakland. Zeitgeist is all right, but most of what they carry isn't exactly difficult to come across in a lot of bars and/or local stores. Mariko makes a great point- some of the imported stuff or small batch stuff you're not going to find on tap. Plus, this is a great opportunity for us to share our favorite brews and/or ease others away from Pabst. ;)

I would be down for a field trip to The Trappist. Beer Revolution also has a crap load of different beers to try. So many so little time :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
