IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME?
This trip is a good introduction to whitewater rafting with a lot of floating and the rapids are fairly easy. There are two-man and three-to-five-man rafts available and each raft is unguided so you determine your own pace. The cost includes all food, all rafting gear, transportation to the headwaters, the transport of all your camping gear to the site, and an evening party with music and dancing on Saturday night.
The Upper Cache is a class 3 whitewater run through a volcanic canyon, accessible only by water. See more info at: http://www.gotwhitewater.com/ />
Saturday: Drive up, park your vehicle, load overnight gear on truck, load self, small cooler for raft and water guns onto bus, get driven up to starting point, listen to instructions, get in raft and rowrowrowyourboat... (lunch provided on the boat), swim, squirt each other, get out of raft at destination, get gear, pitch tent, drink free Margaritas, eat appetizers, dinner, join dance party, dance under the light show, sleep.
Sunday: pack up gear, load onto trucks, eat breakfast, load small cooler and self onto bus, take bus to new start point, get in boat and row again, have lunch, squirt each other, swim, watergun war, get out at finish point, find gear, buy pictures and shirts, drive home.
RIVER MENU (The food is plentiful and delicious)
Appetizers: Tons of treats served right after you get off the boat, including MARGARITAS! **Please bring ID to camp for free margaritas until they run out. (Note: not sure if they are still serving margaritas anymore, so don't count on this for sure).
Dinner: Mesquite grilled NY steak, a free range breast of chicken, or a veggie burger, with an Idaho baked potato, sweet corn on the cob, pasta, sauteed mushrooms.
Lunch (Sat & Sun): Turkey or ham, jack and cheddar cheese, fresh sourdough bread, chips.
Breakfast: A three-course masterpiece with fresh ranch scrambled eggs, ham, potatoes and salsa. Also, granola, fruit and pastries.
