This evening urban hike will explore upper Rockridge (neighborhood of Oakland) which was one area destroyed by the Oakland Firestorm, October 20, 1991. The streets are connected by old staircases, there are some great views and the newer architecture is interesting; a collection of unique homes.
Meet: 6:15 PM introductions, departing promptly at 6:30 PM
Details: (All approximations) 3.5 miles, 400 feet elevation gain, 1.5 hrs.

--Bring water, snacks, comfortable shoes, sunglasses (as the sun sets later each day now)

Doggie Guest Rules--
Well-behaved, on-leash dogs are welcome on this walk.
Waitlist info: This event has a 'manual' waitlist. This means that when a spot opens up, everyone on the waiting list will receive an email. In order to claim the spot, you must visit this meetup event and RSVP "Yes". So watch your email closely. This approach avoids unintentional no-shows and ensures that the people who move up to "attending" are indeed available and interested.
If you're on the waitlist, there's a good chance you can snag a spot the day of the event; last minute cancellations are common on after-work hikes.
