I hopped a bus to the Legion of Honor and had a nice indoor walk instead. It was a great alternative. Now the sun is trying to come out.

Johannes I think the meetup is canceled if I'm not mistaken. I ran into a couple people in the city that went their separate ways.

I'm here at the bus stop with Carla, but Nextbus says no 76x for 90 more minutes.

Now the rain is really bad. I'm sorry. We'll have to reschedule. Too bad for all of us who traveled. Stay cozy.

Well still take our umbrellas and head out. For others we'll be sure to reschedule!

It's also raining in the city, at the bus stop. Enough for an umbrella

Hi All, I'm looking forward to our hike/walk tomorrow. Actually, I have never done this as a continuous segment, so we will explore this together. If you are meeting us at the GGB platform visitors center, I'd suggest arriving there about 10:45. That may be a little early, but we'll congregate at the concrete benches across from the bathrooms and near the cafe. I'll wear a bright blue daypack.

We will be joined by another meetup, too. See you tomorrow AM.

Franny, thanks for organizaing what sounds like a terrific hike. I really want to attend, but I'm worried I won't be able to get to downtown SF by 10:30 am. Is it possible to just meet you all at the Golden Gate visitor center (assuming they have parking)?

When do you think the group will be departing from the visitor's center? I think I would also like to meet there.

Maria, departure will probably be about 11 AM once we have introductions. See other notice above.

    For drivers:

5th and Mission Parking Garage. I do not know the ones closer to Montgomery St. BART. Walk isn't bad from there. Rate is quite high. Maybe 7.00 per hour. http://goo.gl/maps/sg3RH

Hi, are we supposed to meet at a bus stop at the intersection of Sutter and Sansome Streets at 10:15 am?

Jeff, No idea. Depends on the group's desires to stop for pics and social times. And the 38 bus schedule which is fairly frequent. But there can be bail out options. However, you will have to look into them. I'm sorry. I don't want to underestimate the time.

Thank you, Franny! These are all areas that I've wanted to explore. I'm looking forward to the hike.
