May: Tina Roth Eisenberg, Creator of swissmiss!

Tina Roth Eisenberg, creator of swissmiss joins Apartment Therapy for our May Design Evening!

Tina is a Swiss designer gone NYC and is often referred to as swissmiss, her popular design blog. Besides running swissmiss, she organizes a monthly lecture/breakfast series called CreativeMornings, manages a collaborative workspace called Studiomates in DUMBO, is the force behind the simple, browser-based to-do app called TeuxDeux and just recently launched Tattly, a design temporary tattoo shop.

We plan to continue with our new format of starting right at 6:30 with two How To Presentations! Do you have a DIY project you'd like to share? If so, email me at [masked]. If we choose your project not only will you get to take the stage on the 16th, but we'll also feature your project on Apartment Therapy (see April's presentations here and here)!

Finally, as a reminder: Please be sure to RSVP with your first and last name (and that of your guest) in order to be included on our list!

Hope to see you there!

All the best,

Cate

This was my favorite Design Evening this far. Ms Eisenberg was pure and simple, just awesome! The new question format was also a nice touch. I look forward to this event every month, thank you. Keep of the great work!

This was such a great Meetup! Tina was humble and insightful and totally willing to share her journey with us all. I was inspired leaving the talk. Also I cannot wait to wear the tattly tattoos that she gave us all! Yay!

Tina was great! She is super down to earth and confident even when speaking in public. She gave great insight into her life and how she made it work in such a competitive industry. Love her!

As an immigrant myself, I loved to hear her story and how she followed her feelings about making her career here.

She is a creative inspiration that everyone should either meet or hear a presentation from at least once!

I love hearing Tina speak. There is a lot of inspiration to be gained from hearing how she dreamed up the projects in her life. She is also very personable, which made her presence all the more enjoyable! Can't wait for next month!

I thought it was a great talk from Tina. I watched about 1/3 of her TYPO talk online beforehand, glad I didn't listen to all of it because it was pretty much the same talk. But I still really enjoyed it and thought Maxwell was a great interviewer.
